Pavia Systems was founded in 2005 and is a software technology company specializing in mobile first solutions for transportation construction teams. Pavia helps clients increase efficiency and quality of construction projects by streamlining and mobilizing project inspections and documentation. The company’s core product HeadLight is a real-time strategic project inspection tool that has delivered more than 230,000 high-quality field observations seamlessly from field to office in real-time.

Customers include large departments of transportation, top ten consulting engineering firms, contractors, equipment manufacturers, and industry related materials companies. Essentially, they provide much-needed technology solutions to infrastructure projects across the US. They work with both departments of transportation and private companies.

What is particularly interesting about Pavia is that they originally were founded to solve the problem of discoverability across infra projects, i.e. to stop the pen and paper approach which (incredibly still exists today), however, in the process of solving this problem they created a new one – massive amounts of data.
