My name is Neil C. Hughes, and I’m a tech columnist, published author, ghostwriter, and podcaster for hire that is also known as the tech blog writer. In 2015, I was named one of the “Top 9 Influential Tech Leaders on LinkedIn” by CIO Magazine. ZDNet included me on their list of “You need to follow these 20 big tech thinkers right now.”
However, my journey began when I won a “LinkedIn Top Voice Award” for being the #2 technology writer of 2015 on the entire LinkedIn platform. In 2016, I helped a client win a LinkedIn Top Voice Award in their industry through ghostwritten content. Welcome to the bittersweet world of a tech ghostwriter.
When exploring how I could better engage with my readers and bring my written content to life, I launched the Tech Blog Writer Podcast, which went on to be featured by Forbes in their 15 Inspiring Podcasts For Professionals Of Every Stripe list.
The show evolved into The Tech Talks Daily Podcast, and I have now interviewed over 1,100 tech leaders, entrepreneurs, CEOs, thought leaders, and even the occasional celebrity about how technology is transforming their business. My daily tech podcast has enabled me to speak with an eclectic mix of guests. As the digital transformation gathers pace, I have also recorded interviews with tech giants such as Adobe, Microsoft, Sony, Adobe, and IBM.
I have learned how technology is also affecting sport and entertainment after enjoying conversations with Real Madrid, Manchester United, Motorsport.com, BBC America and Fender digital. I have also been incredibly fortunate to interview TV talk show host Wendy Williams, Star Trek’s William Shatner, Gary Vaynerchuk and Guy Kawasaki about how they are using technology on my podcast too.
Tech Talks Daily has also taken me everywhere from Armenia to Arizona, interviewing leaders and businesses at tech events across the globe and over 1,1000 interviews with global leaders. Feel free to contact me with any pitches for guests on the show.
I am currently recording ten podcast interviews a week and have guests booked in for the next six weeks. These are great problems to have, and genuinely enjoy talking to a diverse range of guests from some of the most exciting new tech start-ups to the biggest tech behemoths and thought leaders across the globe.
The most common question that I get asked by PR companies is, “What Is Your Social Reach?” In a world where many people will buy fake followers or fans, I am highly suspicious of metrics based around follower counts alone. I prefer to focus on building relationships and engaging with my audience by making them a part of the podcast.
My biggest online following on social media is on LinkedIn and Twitter. But I am particularly proud of the engaged community that I have built with my audience through online and written content with over 4 million views and over one million podcast downloads.
Are you looking to increase the reach or credibility of your personal brand or your business? Do you want the book to open doors for more speaking engagements but don’t have time to create content?
I also offer a wide range of services to help anyone create content at scale. I take away the hassle and turn your ideas into ghostwritten thought-leadership blogs and articles for you to share across multiple platforms.
If you would like to launch your own podcast but don’t want the hassle of editing audio files and setting up RSS feeds, I can help too. My Podcasting Made Simple service will get you up and running with 12 podcast episodes edited and published across Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and all the major podcasting platforms.
To launch your podcast, all you need to do is record a conversation on Zoom, Skype, or in-person and leave the rest to me.
If you are also in need of a ghostwriter to help your clients with tech thought leadership articles or blogs or help to launch a podcast without the hassle? Please contact me.
