I first met Jeff Ickler at the No Longer Virtual conference which helps attendees from all over the world connect beyond the keyboard, and we hit it off straight away. I helped Jeff launch his own podcast with Kirsten Richert called Getting Unstuck – Shift For Impact.
Innovation catalyst Kirsten Richert, and career and leadership coach Jeff Ikler help individuals and institutions think differently about change, not as something to fear, not as something they constantly have to react to, but as something they can initiate to have the impact they desire.
Through these podcast episodes, they expose listeners to innovative tools and experienced thought-leaders to help them get unstuck and move toward their desired goals. When they invited me to appear on their show, I nervously accepted their invitation to be the interviewee rather than the interviewer.
We discuss 5G trends and why the emerging technology is actually underhyped rather than overhyped. I also talk about how technology works best when it brings people together.
As someone passionate about helping others, I also offer a little advice to kids about the skills they’re going to need in the ever-changing world of technology. We also discuss how listeners can avoid the exhaustion of constant technology change.
“Every kid should start to think differently. Think bigger. Think about the impossible. Knowing that if we put the hours in, we can accomplish anything.” – Neil C. Hughes
In a world where everyone wants to launch their own podcast, I advise that searching for the best podcasting microphone should not be your first step. Rather than being the guy with all the gear and no idea, I recommend how to build the structure of your podcast, find your voice and learn who your audience will be.
